MOP and four ministries continue hearing with Commission “C” on the budget execution for the second quarter of 2026.

As part of its budget oversight activities, Commission C of the National Parliament, which is responsible for Public Finance matters, held a hearing with five ministries regarding budget execution for the second quarter of 2026.

The hearing took place at the Commission C Conference Room of the National Parliament in Dili on Thursday, with the objective of assessing the level of budget execution, progress in programme implementation, and the challenges encountered during the second quarter.

The five ministries participating in the hearing were: the Ministry of Public Works (MOP); the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications (MTK); the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources (MPRM); the Ministry of Planning and Strategic Investment (MPIE); and the Ministry of Finance.

During the hearing, each ministry presented its budget execution report, including financial and physical execution rates, as well as progress on capital development projects.

Commission C acknowledged the efforts made by the ministries and encouraged them to continue improving the pace of implementation to ensure that the allocated budget delivers tangible benefits to the population.
